Mr. Curtis R. Stewart, age 66 of East Bend passed away on Wednesday July 27th, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Stewart was born on March 21st, 1950 in Kanawha County West Virginia to the late Bert Stewart and Irene Clark Stewart.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Stewart and a sister Roberta Lawson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Rose Stewart of the home; one son John Stewart of East Bend; one daughter Amy Stewart Riggan  of East Bend; three brothers Bert “Chick” Stewart of Ohio, Donald Stewart and wife Diane of Advance, and William “Bill” Stewart of West Virginia; and one very special grandson James Curtis Riggan who he loved dearly and was his little Monkey Joe.

The family would like to give special thanks to his medical caregiver Virginia Ann Vest  as well as to Hospice and Palliative Care of Rowan County.

A funeral service for Mr. Stewart will be held on Saturday July 30th, 2016 at 11am at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Stony Knoll United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6pm-8pm at Huff Funeral Home.
