William Dale Norman, 93, of East Bend, passed away on August 31, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Norman was born on April 7, 1923 to the late John Tomas Evan “JTE” and Bertha Patterson Norman in Yadkin County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Christine Myers Norman; one son Bill Norman; three brothers Graham Norman, Joy Norman, and Ralph Norman; and one sister Nell Norman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons Robert Norman and wife Wanda, and John Norman and wife Barbara, both of East Bend, a daughter-in-law Susie Norman of Pittsboro, five grandchildren Jennie Shafer, Randall Norman, Amanda Joyner, Ryan Guthrie, and Tray Norman; five great grandchildren Ellie Shafer, Ryllee Norman, Lilah Norman, Dylan Guthrie, and Reece Norman; and several special friends and rook players.

A funeral service for Mr. Norman will be held on Friday September 2, 2016 at 11am at New Home United Methodist Church.  Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may visit on Thursday from 2pm-5pm at Huff Funeral Home.
