William Daniel Treece, age 82 of East Bend passed away on Wednesday September 30th 2015 at Universal Healthcare of King, NC.

He was born on July 2, 1933 to the late Charlie Lee and Viola Edwards Treece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Tommy Alexander Treece and Albert Treece.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years Annie Yvonne Whitley Treece, a daughter Karen Whitley and husband James of Richfield, and three sons: Jimmy Treece and wife Lynn of King, Donald Treece of East Bend, and Mike Treece and wife Krista of Tobaccoville, two sisters Mary Hooks of Goldhill and Alice Redden of Missouri, a brother Gilbert Hooks of Goldhill, nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mr. Treece will be held on Friday October 2nd, 2015 at 7pm at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial with full military rites will be held at Canton Baptist Church in Albermarle on Saturday October 3rd, 2015 at 3pm. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-7pm prior to the funeral service.  In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
