Wanda Leigh Poindexter Hall went to be with her friend and Lord on April 28, 2017. Wanda was born November 7, 1940 in High Point, North Carolina to Charlie Frank and Bertha Mae Poindexter. She graduated from East Bend High School in 1958. On June 3, 1960, she married her love Thomas (Tom) L. Hall. Wanda worked several Jobs before settling with RJR. With this company, she retired with 21 years of service. The rest of her life was spent doing volunteer work, some of her work was the God and Country celebration (15 years), Yadkin Christian Ministries, Meals on Wheels, ARC of Yadkin County (held several offices and was president five different times), and helped raise money for the two group homes in Yadkin County.

Wanda was a member of East Bend Baptist Church. She played the piano at the church from early high school until the children were born. Both she and Tom loved to travel and went many places together including Europe, Hawaii, and Mexico. Wanda and Jenny went to Alaska and up the eastern coast to Canada by boat. She sponsored a child from Honduras and went on church sponsored trips three times.

She is preceded in death by her parents and just six months ago by her husband Tom Hall. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Michelle Hall of Butner, North Carolina and Jennifer Lynn Hall of the home; and her sister Ann Dull of Yadkinville.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at East Bend Baptist Church from 1 pm to 2 pm, a Celebration of Life service will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to East Bend Baptist Church, 112 Fairground Rd, East Bend, NC 27018 of the Kitchen fund.
