William Gene Snow

Pastor William Gene Snow, 87, of Dobson, North Carolina, passed away on December 30, 2019 at Woltz Hospice Home of Dobson, NC.

He was born in Surry County to the late William Edgar and Meda Bledsoe Snow on May 29, 1932. Pastor Snow ministered to his community for over 60 years. He loved to sing and preaching the Gospel to his many friends. Gene loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Elizabeth Wall Snow and his second wife, Reada Nelson Snow; and his brother, Wesley Woodrow Snow.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Garry Snow and wife, Denise of NC and Kent Snow and wife, Georgia Ann of FL; step-son, Timothy Reynolds; step-daughter, Janet Reynolds; grandchildren, Cody Truell and wife, Samantha, Nicole McCormick and husband, Billy, Brian Snow and wife, Tracy, Gary Snow, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Hank Snow, Corey Bennett and wife, Jennifer, Chris Martin and wife, Kim, Adam Truell and Josh Truell, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Huff Funeral Home with Pastor DonL Blevins, Pastor Raleigh Burnette and Pastor Terry Coe officiating. Interment will follow the service in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-3pm at Huff Funeral Home prior to the service on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
