Wiley David Joyner, age 80, passed away the morning of July 24, 2024, at Willowbrook Health & Rehab in Yadkinville. He was born on October 27, 1943, in Forsyth County.
Wiley was known for his life as a dedicated farmer and a connoisseur of tobacco, enjoying his beloved chewing tobacco. He had a deep affection for old cars, especially his cherished Chevy S10, and took great pride in his farm equipment. He loved & cared for animals of all kinds, but he especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.
Wiley was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Joyner.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty Lopez, his sister, Pauline Eller, 7 grandchildren: Rose Kanetzky, Kelly Joyner, Crystal Brown, Kali Brown, Marcus Black Jr, Antonio Lopez, and Miguel Lopez; and 5 great-grandchildren: Alicia Joyner, Nick Allen, Rowena Kanetzky, Milo Kanetzky and Waylon Widener.
A time of remembrance will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Huff Funeral Home on Sunday, July 28th, to celebrate Wiley's life and the memories he leaves behind.
