Walter Phillips

Mr. Walter Evan Phillips took a stroll down the streets of Gold to his Heavenly home Thursday June 19, 2025.

Mr. Phillips was born on November 26, 1942 in Yadkin County to the late Nat Phillips and Millie Speer Phillips.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife Rita R. Phillips; a son Chris E. Phillips; a sister Kay (Chester) Wooten; and a brother Junior (Patsy) Phillips.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Ginger (Danny) Tranter; a brother Clarence Phillips; five grandsons  Cody (Leah) Tranter, Dylan (Megan) Tranter, David (Lacey) Phillips, Ryan (Allie) Phillips, and Tyler (Lawsyn) Phillips; seven great-grandchildren Wyatt Tranter, Emmett Tranter, Kinsley Phillips, Oaklyn Phillips, Miles Phillips, Cali Phillips. and Noah Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Phillips served the community for over 40 years a s a pastor.  He also enjoyed working on and restoring classic cars in his spare time.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday June 22, 2025 at 5pm at Macedonia Church Cemetery.
