Obituary

Mrs. Virginia Key Lawson, 80, of Pilot Mountain passed away on June 12, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center.

She was born on January 10, 1942 to the late Hubert and Betty Wall Key in Surry County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Davis Lawson and two sons Craig Lawson and Eric Lawson.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son Mark (April) Lawson of Elkin, a daughter Debbie (Ronnie) Bowman of Westfield, six grandchildren Amber, Nathan, Casan, Chaz, Jacobpayne, and Kassie; and seven great-grandchildren William, Bayliege, Kathleen, Rayddan, Dalton, Jackson, and Payton.

A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Lawson will be held 11 am on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Pilot Mountain City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilot Mountain Rescue Squad, where she was the treasurer for many years.
