Thelma Irene Blakeley

Mrs. Thelma Irene Blakeley, age 101, of Pfafftown, passed away on Monday October 27, 2025.

Mrs. Blakeley was born on September 25, 1924 in Forsyth County to the late Coy Long and Eulala Long.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Vernon Blakeley; sons Ferrell Blakeley, Donald Blakeley, and Mark Blakeley; sisters Wilma Johnson and Mildred Matthews; and a daughter Betty Accetora.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter Shirley Bridges; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and nine great great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mrs. Blakeley will be held on Friday October 31, 2025 at New Bethel Church at 11am with the Pastor Elisha Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10am-11am on Friday prior to the service at the church.
