Ronald Ray Hall went home to be with his Lord on December 17, 2021. Ronnie was born April 28, 1947, to Ed and Alice Blalock Hall. He was born and raised in Elkin and graduated from Elkin High School. After school, he was drafted into the Army where he proudly served his country as a Teletype Specialist. Having married Brenda Smith, together they had Sandy (husband Tony Wall), Lenita (husband Travis Martin), and Kevin (wife Jammie Hall). From these unions, Ronnie had three grandchildren, Richard Wall (wife Valerie Wall and great grandson Storm Wall), Brianna Martin, and Kayte Hall. Ronnie later remarried Jackie Bunn and raised Jessica (husband Adam Simpson, with grandsons Hagan and Wesan). Ronnie worked for Lowe’s Foods, Keebler Cookie Company and retired from Food Lion in Elkin. In 1999 Ronnie married Rebecca Sue Wagner and raised Elizabeth (husband Josh Stalls, with granddaughter Madelyn). He reentered the work force and proudly worked for Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin as the Out-patient Surgery Receptionist. Ronnie was welcomed into his heavenly home by his parents, Ed and Alice, and brothers Bill and David. Ronnie loved life and he loved his Lord, Jesus Christ. He spent his time away from work gardening, doing yard work, traveling, fishing, and sitting on his back porch watching the days pass, happy and content with his life. A memorial service will be held at his home church, Calvary Wesleyan, on Oakland Drive in Elkin on Sunday, January 2, 2022. The Hall family will visit with friends and family from 2-3pm, followed by service at 3pm, led by Pastor Stanley Stogner. In lieu of flowers, the family request that loving donations be made to the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson NC.
