Robert Mark Johnson

Robert Mark Johnson, age 43, passed away March 6, 2022.

He was a graduate of Forbush High School & attended Surry Community College.  He was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.

He was the only son of Jimmy G. & Nancy W. Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert & Nora Johnson and Jess & Irene Willard.  He was also preceded in death by his uncle, J. Charles Willard.

Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, are his uncle & aunt Gerald & Jane Zachary; his aunt Sherri Willard, and cousin Shannon (Keith) Adams & their daughter, Ava Beth; & his friend, who was like a brother, Jason Sizemore.

Mark loved animals & was always ready to take in a stray.  He enjoyed his cats, Scooter & Tuxie.  Raising chickens & sharing eggs with friends & neighbors gave him much pleasure.

He was a loving son to his parents.  He cut wood with his dad & the two of them loved fishing together.  

His loving spirit & kind heart will leave a great void.

A graveside service for Mr. Johnson will be held on Monday March 14, 2022 at 2pm at the Johnson Family Cemetery with Lauren Anderson and Dustin James officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 1pm-2pm at Huff Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
