Rita Phillips Obituary

Mrs. Rita Redding Phillips, age 75, of East Bend went to her heavenly home on Tuesday December 14, 2021.

Mrs. Phillips was born on July 9, 1946 in Yadkin County to the late Eugene Redding and Ruby Hayes Redding.

She served the community for 36 years as a cosmetologist in Yadkinville and East Bend. Rita loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son Chris Phillips.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 56 years Walter Phillips; a brother Tim (Martha) Redding; a daughter Ginger (Danny) Tranter; five grandsons Cody (Leah) Tranter, Dylan (Megan) Tranter, David (Lacey) Phillips, Ryan (Allie) Phillips, and Tyler Phillips; and five great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Macedonia Church Cemetery. In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
