Myrtle Owen Obituary
Ms. Myrtle "Tootie" Owen, age 74, of East Bend, passed away on Saturday September 16, 2023 at her home.
Ms. Owen was born on June 30, 1949 in Yadkin County to the late Clifton Matthews and Vernie Lineberry.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Poplin; three sisters Lillie Beane, LulaBelle Chambers, and Gladys Hardy; and a brother Buck Matthews.
Those left to cherish her memory are three sisters Frances Jeune, Ruth Beane, and Jenny Marler; four grandchildren Cassandra (Ryan) Adams, Kayla Stanley, Tyler Pruitt, and Christopher Wolfe; nine great-grandchildren Cody, Jameson, Colton, Bentley, Oakley, Emory, Jessie, Bella, and Liliana; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service for Ms. Owen will be held on Friday September 22, 2023 at 2pm at Huff Funeral Home with Eddie Tyson officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect United Methodist Church in East Bend.
