Mrs. Mae Peggy Angell, age 99, of East Bend, passed away on Monday October 9, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Angell was born on September 12, 1924 in Yadkin County to the late Paul Davis and Orace Scott Davis.
Mrs. Angell was a faithful member of East Bend Baptist Church. She volunteered for 36 years at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Those left to cherish her memory are a son Edward (Lynn) Angell of East Bend; three daughters Jean (Morris) Smith of East Bend, Kay Angell of Winston Salem, and Debra Angell of Winston Salem; three grandchildren Lana (Stephen) Young of Winston Salem, Tina Smith (Brian) of East Bend, and Davis (Vickie) Angell of East Bend; three great-grandchildren Graham Young of Winston Salem, Hunter Angell of East Bend, and Troy Angell of East Bend; and her five cats that she loved dearly.
A private graveside service for Mrs. Angell will be held at East Bend Baptist Church Cemetery. The family has requested that donations be made to East Bend Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
