Lynn Johnson

Mr. Lynn William Johnson, age 83, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at his home.  He was born on February 8, 1942 to the late Ernest & Lessie Waddel Johnson, of East Bend. 

Lynn graduated from Nashville Diesel College & was a well-respected mechanic.  He enjoyed traveling, camping & fishing at the coast with his family & friends.  He spoke often of his love for his family, his church & his pastor. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Opal Louise Johnson; brothers, Hobert (Maizie) Johnson, Ervin Johnson, Ernest Johnson, Jr.; & his nephew, Danny Johnson. 

Those left to cherish his memory includes his wife of 58 years, Doris Hutchens Johnson; son, Jeff (Denise) Johnson; grandsons, Jacob Johnson, Caleb Johnson & Grayson Johnson; sister-in-law, Carol Jean Johnson; nephew, Scotty (Kathy) Johnson; nieces, Tammy (Tony) Johnson & Tina (David) Dutrow; & many close friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at Faith Community Church (2216 Hennings Rd. East Bend, NC 27018), with a service by Rev. Brian Poindexter to follow.
