Kimberly Denise Watkins

Mrs. Kimberly Denise Watkins, age 55, of Jonesville was called home by her Lord and Savior Sunday August 15, 2021 at Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was born on December 23, 1965 in Kingwood, WV to the late Gary and Patricia Dumire.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years James Watkins; her parents Gary and Patricia Dumire; her sister Cynithia Light; and her uncle Richard "Dickie" Moran.

Kim was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and haunter. She loved spending time with family and friends and going to the beach cooking and going to and working haunts.

She is survived by a son CJ Watkins of the home; two daughters Kristina (Zack) Palsrok of Jonesville and Amanda (David) Hall of Elkin; five grandchildren who were her world, Jacob, Lucas, Christopher, Breanna, and Elizabeth; two sisters Stacie Dumire of Kingwood, WV and Kendra Dumire-Thorn of Tunnelton, WV; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kim was loved by many and will be missed terribly.

A funeral service will be held on Friday August 20, 2021 at 1pm at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend with the Pastor Scott Bishop officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery in Elkin.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 11am-1pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
