Jo Ann Rucker

Jo Ann Rucker, age 86, of Winston Salem, passed away on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center.

She was born on August 7, 1937, in Alleghany County, NC to the late Clyde Edwards and Rose Pollard Edwards.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by the love of her life Mick Rucker; two daughters Lisa Brown and Ronda Rucker; two sons Kevin Rucker and Jimmy Rucker; a brother Clifford Edwards; and a sister Thelma Wright.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son Randy (Teresa) Rucker of East Bend; four daughters Vicky (David) Casanova of East Bend, Loretta White of Winston Salem, Angela (John) Tucker of East Bend, and Dawn (Jimmy) Byers of Westfield; one sister Kathy Greer of Lewisville; a daughter in law Lisa Rucker of East Bend; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Ms. Rucker will be held on Monday October 30, 2023 at 2pm at Huff Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Quesenberry officiating.  Burial will follow in Grace Baptist Church in Lewisville.  The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm on Monday Prior to the service at the funeral home.
