Jimmie Vernon

Mr. Jimmie Vernon, age 82, of East Bend, passed away on Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Woltz Hospice Home.

Mr. Vernon was born on February 1, 1940 in Surry County to the late Lloyd Vernon and Louise Ball.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons Christopher Vernon and Benny Vernon; two daughters Tonya Pastorick and Tina Vernon; two brothers; and two sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years Francis Christine Vernon of the home; one son Jimmy Wayne Vernon and wife Angela of Pilot Mountain; one daughter Sonya Hill and husband Ray of Pilot Mountain; fifteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mr. Vernon will be held on Monday February 7, 2022 at 2pm at Old Friends Meeting in Westfield with William Bryant officiating.  Mr. Vernon will lie in state at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend on Friday February 4, 2022 from 10am-4pm.
