Mr. Jimmie Lee Tucker, age 85, passed away on June 10, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.  

Mr. Tucker was born on September 27, 1936 in Yadkin County to the late John R. Tucker & Lula Mae Williard Tucker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse Tucker, Denny Tucker, Everette Tucker & a sister, Ethel Edwards.  

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Clara Collins. He also leaves his nephews Randy Tucker, Wayne Tucker, Perry Edwards, Johnny Tucker & Jerry Tucker; his nieces Janet Smith, Wanda Small, Sylvia Sherrill, Pam Ramsey, Diane Linley & JoAnn Lunsford.

Mr. Tucker was known to some by the name "The Mater Man" because he would go around collecting fruits & vegetables to give for free to members of the community.  He served his country in the United States Army & was an electrical engineer in the construction field.

Mr. Tucker will lie-in-state at Huff Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 14 & Wednesday, June 15 from 9:00am until 5:00pm.  A committal service will be held at the Edwards Family Cemetery in East Bend on Saturday, June 18 at 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Huff Funeral Home to help with the cost of Mr. Tuckers services.
