Ms. Janice Denise Kimber, age 56 of Pfafftown, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her home.
Janice was born on October 3, 1967 in Yadkin County to Betty Jean Boles Kimber & the late Carl Ray Kimber.
Ms. Kimber proudly served her country in the United States Army. She spent her recent working years as a team leader at Lydall in Yadkinville. Ms. Kimber also owned her own daycare, Kimberwood Child Care, for fifteen years. She got her bachelors degree in early childhood development from Forsyth Tech. She loved her babies at the daycare & enjoyed playing with them & teaching them.
Janice enjoyed riding motorcycles with her sister Renée & friends. She loved feeling the breeze on her face & feeling the freedom of the open road. Her friends in the biker community affectionately knew her as Indó.
She spent a lot of her free time at family gatherings. You could always find her dancing & being the life of the party. Although her family didn't agree with her love of the Pittsburgh Steelers, they always invited her to the party anyway. She would likely show up in a Steelers jersey carrying a custom Steelers crock-pot full of wonderful food. She was an excellent cook & the family always trusted that she would bring her famous baked mac & cheese or baked spaghetti.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Betty Jean Boles Kimber; her two children, Tyreise (Bryttney Lineberry) Kimbrough & Ebonée (Clarence Thompson) Turner; her brother, Nathan (Tonya) Kimber; two sisters, Charlene (Edward) Callands & Sandra Renée (Morris) Henderson; her grandson, Clarence Thompson, Jr “CJ”; nieces & nephews, Terrell, Asia, Stephanie & Elijah; as well as numerous friends & other loved ones.
In addition to her father, Carl Ray Kimber, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Ray Kimber.
