James Stephenson Cromer

Mr. James Stephenson "Steve" Cromer, age 60, of Winston Salem, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday July 2, 2025.

Mr. Cromer was born on May 12, 1965, in Forsyth County to the late Billy Cromer and Elva Warden Cromer.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter Stephanie Diane Cromer and a brother Ricky Cromer.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Loretta "Edith" Cromer of the home; a son Michael (Crystal Bates) Starbuck of Raleigh; a step-daughter Susan (Chris) Gobble of Winston Salem; two sisters Doris Gravely of Shoals and Teresa (Frankie) Allen of Siloam; three grandchildren Sophia Aneiro, Destiney Starbuck, and Journey Starbuck; and a sister-in-law Trish Cromer.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2025 at 4pm at Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain with Mike Quesenberry, Ryan Whitt, and Junior Hicks officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm on Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
