Mr. Grady Lee Hutchens, age 84, of East Bend, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday July 6, 2025.
Grady was born on March 12, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Buford Ezra Hutchens and Anna Mae Hunter Hutchens. He worked over 60 years, self employed, at Hutchens Tree Service.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Lois H. Collins, Betty Thompson, Dorothy Choplin, Frances Jordan, Ray Hutchens, Thomas Hutchens, and baby infant Larry Hutchens.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 65 years Brenda G. Hutchens and a loyal son Michael Lee Hutchens that he was so proud of. Grady loved all his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews including special nephews Ravon Johnson and Wayne Hutchens and special niece Mary Collins Craddock. The apple of his eye was his great-great niece Annie-Pearl Elizabeth Slate an she loved Grady dearly. He is also survived by several great great nephews and a sister-in-law Ann Hutchens.
The family would like to thank Grady's caregivers Cathy Copeland and Casey Klask for all of their loving care.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 9, 2025 from 11am-2pm at Huff Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Faith Community Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice.
