Mrs. Evelyn Haynes, age 84, of Pinnacle, passed away on Friday February 17, 2023.
Mrs. Haynes was born on January 2, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to the late William Gruenert and Peggy Capen.
Mrs. Haynes had a very strong faith and was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader in Florida. She was a high level competitive square dancer and a Mary Kay cosmetic salesperson. She owned a craft show business and traveled in shows and sold Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She enjoyed fishing and boating, lived in several states from Massachusetts to Florida on the east coast, traveled from Florida to Alaska and across parts of Europe, Russia, and the Caribbean.
She never met a stranger, loved talking to people, cooking and hosting parties, and was always active with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, a brother, two sisters, and a granddaughter.
Those left to cherish her memory are a son Timothy W. Haynes and wife Judy of Deltona, FL; a daughter Debbie Woods of Pinnacle; four grandchildren Leona Woods, Harry (Whitney) Woods, Amy (Joseph) Ruggiero, and Timothy W. Haynes Jr. (Andrea); and nine great-grandchildren Aubrey Haynes, Cordelia Campbell, Avery Haynes, Lilly Campbell, Alison Ruggiero, Juliana Ruggiero, Harry Haynes, Henry Haynes, and Noah Lowe.
A funeral service for Mrs. Haynes will be held on Saturday February 25, 2023 at 2pm at Brim's Grove Baptist Church with the Pastor Dean Barley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm on Saturday prior to the service at the church.
