Eva Gough

Eva Miller Gough, age 91, of Boonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 31, 2026 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

She was born on May 10, 1934 in Surry County to the late William Miller and Clara Law Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Buddy Gough; a daughter Susan Martin; a sister Lena Miller; and three brothers Sanford Miller, Hanzel Miller, and Raymond Miller.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son Ken (Cindy) Martin of Boonville; a daughter Lesa Martin (Blaine Russell) of Boonville; a sister Janie McHone of Ararat; grandchildren Chris (Melany) Martin of Boonville, Jason McClamrock and son Luke of Elkin, Shellie (Mike) Morgan of Advance, Brandy McClamrock of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Jennifer (Owen) King of Mayock, NC; and six great-grandchildren which she adored.

Eva loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her church Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.  She was a dedicated member as long as her health permitted.

Per Eva's request, funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Building Fund C/O Ray Parker 3605 Parker Road Boonville, NC 27011.
