Dorothy Collins Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Dixon Collins, age 83, of Elkin, passed away on Thursday April 21, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Collins was born on December 21, 1938 in Calloway County, KY to the late Henry Dixon and Ethel Duncan.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Harley Collins Sr. and a son Danny Collins.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son Harley (Teresa) Collins Jr. of Winston Salem; two daughters Gale (Stanley) Wilson of Elkin and Lisa (Michael) Casstevens of State Road; eleven grandchildren Phillip (Jessica) Collins, Jesse (Kacy) Benge, Christopher (Sara) Benge, Andrew (Katie) Collins, Sydney (Jason) Wagner, Amanda (Matt) Willis, Harley Alexandra Casstevens, Lashae Collins, Caitlyn Wilson, Justin Casstevens, and Danyelle Collins; several great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and a special son Michael (Rusty) Osborne.
A funeral service for Mrs. Collins will be held on Monday April 25, 2022 at 2pm at Huff Funeral Home with the Pastor Michael Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Siloam Friends Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
