Donna Welch

Donna Moore Welch, 81, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, October 19, 2020.

Donna was born on June 13, 1939 to the late Pearlie Lee Carter and John Wilson Moore. She was retired from Renfro in Mt. Airy and was an accomplished seamstress. She loved watching for the first hummingbird each spring and working in her yard and her flower beds. She was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She absolutely adored her fur babies, Sampson and Delilah. Donna was a member of Westfield Baptist Church.

She leaves behind two children: Pamela Welch Blevins and Wanda Welch (Donald) Taylor; three grandchildren: Pepper (John) Berry, Blake (Danielle) Conrad, Jamie (Angie) Conrad; eight great-grandchildren: Channing Berry, Xander Berry, Zayne Berry, Emmersyn Berry, Jessica Conrad, Jordan Conrad and Clayton Watts; and two brothers: Earl Moore and Jimmie Moore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Bob Moore. She is also preceded in death by her children's father, Kenneth Grayson Welch.

Donna's family would like to invite everyone to celebrate her life with them on Thursday, October 22, 2020. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at Huff Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at the Friends Cemetery in East Bend.

Donna's family would like to thank everyone for all the calls, texts and well wishes during her illness.
