Obituary for Daniel Lee Hodge, Sr.

Daniel Lee Hodge, Sr., age 69, of East Bend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in Winston-Salem. He was born on November 19, 1955, in Forsyth County to the late Kenneth and Virginia Hodge.

Daniel was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Danny Hodge and wife Taylor; daughters, Brittany Shore and husband Todd, and Crystal Hall; and his beloved grandchildren, Maddie and Mya Hodge. He is also survived by his siblings, Richard Childress, Ronnie Childress, Kenneth Hodge, Steve Hodge, and Becky Hodges.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his son, Jason Sparks; his brother, Larry Childress; and his sister, Linda Cline.

A graveside service for Mr. Hodge will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston-Salem.
