Connie Franklin McLain

Mrs. Connie Franklin McLain, age 64, of Elkin passed away on Sunday June 27, 2021 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin.

Mrs. McLain was born on October 5, 1956 in Forsyth County to the late John Franklin and Gennie Rucker.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Talmage Steven McLain.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons Larry (Bethanie) Speer of Rural Hall and Rodney Speer of Elkin; two brothers Ray (Virginia) Franklin and Larry Franklin both of Lewisville; three sisters Edna Porter of Jonesville, Ruth (Gary) Morelock of Boonville, and Betty Pulliam of Lewisville; four grandchildren Michael Speer, Bobby Speer, Ragan Speer, and Soloman Speer, and one great-grandchild April.

A funeral service for Mrs. McLain will be held at 11am on Friday July 2, 2021 at Huff Funeral Home with Pastor Zak King officiating.  Burial will follow at Grace Baptist Church in Lewisville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Huff Funeral Home to help offset final expenses.
