Candace Medlin Obituary


Candace Nicole Medlin, 33, of King, NC passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 18, 2021.  
Candace was born on August 12, 1988 in Forsyth County to Mark Medlin and Tammy Shoemaker Davis.
Candace grew up in King NC, with her mother and younger sister Brandie. It did not take long for everyone to quickly learn how head strong she was. 
Her younger days was spent attending school in King and spending time with family and friends. Candace loved to hang out and be around her loved ones. Candace had a very close relationship with her mother. 
Candace welcomed two beautiful baby girls into the world who she loved dearly. Candace loved to bake and was very good at it.  She loved taking trips and spending time at the beach. Other hobbies included shopping, taking pictures, and telling everyone else what to do. 
There was never a dull moment around Candace. She was extremely energetic and full of life. She loved hard if she loved you, you knew it. Candace was never afraid  to be who she was. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. 
Candace is survived by Harmony Nelson (daughter), Jayden Lowe (Daughter). Tammy Shoemaker Davis (mother), Charles “Greg” Davis (Step-father)Mark Medlin (Father),Melissa Medlin (step-mother)  Brandie Vaught (sister), Amanda Davis (step-sister), Skyler Davis (Step-brother), Kali Bower (Step- sister), Will Thompson (step-brother), Jarrett Golding (Step-brother), Logan Ferguson (nephew), Freya Ferguson(niece), Tim Fulp ( a very dear Friend).
Predeceased By Kenneth Shoemaker (grandfather), Mary Shoemaker (grandmother), Tina Tuttle (aunt). Brenda Miller (grandmother), Raymond Medlin (Grandfather), and Danna Adams (Aunt). 

A funeral service for Candace will be held on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 2pm at Lexwin Baptist Church in Winston Salem with the Pastor Eric Goff officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm on Wednesday prior to the service at the church. 
Flowers can be sent to the funeral home or church.
