Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Sue Phillips. age 80, of Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday July 6, 2023 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Mrs. Phillips was born on September 11, 1942 in Forsyth County to the late Gurney Childress and Eloise Tolbert Mahone.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Gray Phillips; a brother Bill Childress; a sister Barbara Sechrest; and a grandson Mikey Phillips.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons Gray Phillips Jr., David (Debi) Phillips, and Michael Phillips; four daughters Judy Alexander, Linda (Ronnie) Williams, Dana (Michael) Baugess, and Cathy (Mike) Leftwich; one brother Larry (Barbara) Childress; two sisters Rhonda (Kenneth) Knecht and Carolyn Wilkin; thirteen grandchildren Allison Phillips, Billy (Aislina) Caudle, Justin (Hannah) Caudle, Christy (Justin) Lawson, Austin (McKinsley) Leftwich, Melissa (Ramsey) Lawson, Steven (Pam) Phillips, Brian (Richelle) Thomas, Joey Caudle, Katie Bauguess, Aaron Bauguess, Brittany Phillips, and Branson Bauguess; and twenty three great grandchildren.
