Mrs. Betty Jean Hicks, age 85, of East Bend, passed away on Friday November 4, 2022 at SECU Hospice Center in Yadkinville.

She was born on December 27, 1936 to the late Lloyd Rader and Dessie Wills Rader.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons Joseph Hicks of Johnson City, TN, Lloyd Hicks of Johnson City, TN, and Robert Hicks of Knoxville, TN; one daughter Kathy (EJ) Hicks of East Bend; one sister Charlotte (Dee) Whaley of Johnson City, TN; eight grandchildren Jaclyn, Kathy, Shane, Bryan, Daniel, Mark, Shawn, and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren Dakota, Nicole, Dillon, Chad, Chloe, Emmitt, and Amelia; and five great great-grandchildren.
