Betty Luzana Brown

Mrs. Betty Luzana Brown, age 93, of East Bend, passed away on Friday June 14, 2024 at Yadkin Nursing Center.

Mrs. Brown was born on October 7, 1930 in Yadkin County to the late Lester Speer and Martha Alice Brown Speer.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Nuel Brown.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son Tony Brown of East Bend; a daughter Jean (Dennis) Bowen of Boonville; a brother Homer Speer of East Bend; two sisters Annie Leamon of East Bend and Margaret Brown of Forbush; two grandchildren Christopher (Jessica) Bowen of Yadkinville and Joy (Nathan) Walls of Boonville; and one great grandchild Joseph Walls.

A funeral service for Mrs. Brown will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2024 at 2pm at Huff Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in New Home UMC Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Home UMC cemetery fund or Yadkin Christian Ministries.
