Barry Koke Forrest

Barry Koke Forrest, age 62, of East Bend, passed away on Wednesday October 16, 2024 at SECU Hospice Center in Yadkinville.

Mr. Forrest was born on October 27, 1961 in Forsyth County to the late Koke Forrest and Aurelia Angell Forrest.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister Janet Lynn Forrest.

Mr. Forrest worked for Vulcan for 28 years.  He carried on the ol family tradition of driving a truck.  The people of East Bend knew him well as the man that could fix and it was common to hear "Barry can you fix this?"

Those left to cherish his memory are a lifelong friend Mike Hutchens; a cousin Chris (Twinkle) Brown and their son Blake and daughter Chrislyn whom Barry loved and cherished as his own daughter; his shop buddies and Texas family; and countless other friends.

A graveside service for Mr. Forrest will be held on Sunday October 20, 2024 at 4pm at East Bend Baptist Church with Chris Brown officiating. A celebration of life service for will also be held on Saturday November 16, 2024 at 7pm at the Yadkin Moose Lodge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to God's Garage 234 East Way Street East Bend, NC 27018 or to Mountain Valley Hospice at 243 N. Lee Avenue Yadkinville, NC 27055.
