Robert Raxter

Mr. Robert Linford Nelson Raxter, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Friday, Noverber 9, 2018 at his home.

He was born on December 15, 1938 to the late Arthur and Flora Wood Raxter in Forsyth County.

Mr. Raxter was a loving father and husband. He was a dedicated truck driver and loved fishing and racing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Robbie Raxter, a brother Ronnie Raxter, and a sister Peggy Raisig.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Violet Sue Anders Raxter of the home; a son Bobby Raxter and fiance Tracey Ward of Walnut Cove; one daughter: Christina Raxter of Winston-Salem; a sister Billie Smith of Clemmons, three grandchildren: Brandon Raxter, Haley Harrelson, and Ethan Raxter; several nieces and nephews, and dogs Little Bob, Reese Cup, Abby Girl and Chaos.

A memorial service for Mr. Raxter will be held at a later time.
