Robert Lee Jordan III, passed away suddenly at his home in High Point, NC on Monday, January 7, 2019. Robert or "Rob" as most of us knew him was 40 years old. He is survived by his loving wife Erin Doby; mother Frances Hutchens Jordan of High Point; his father Robert Lee Jordan, JR. and wife Rose Marie of Roland, Oklahoma; his aunt Betty Thompson of East Bend, NC; his uncle Grady Hutchens and his wife Brenda Ann; his aunt Donna K. Davis from Savannah, GA; and his uncle David K. Jordan from St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
Rob was an impassioned musician whose sole purpose in life was to make beautiful music through song and songwriting to enrich the lives of others. He had a strong passion for the brothership of barbershop quartets. He sang in many quartets over the years even winning an international silver medal with his quartet from Appalachian State University called Low Down Sound. He recently became active in the music scene in High Point playing music throughout town to the delight of all who had the pleasure of experiencing his performances.
Through the hardships of his life he had a calling to help others and was actively seeking his certification to become a drug and alcohol counselor to guide others through the struggles which often left him feeling alone. Flowers will be accepted at Huff funeral Home in East Bend North Carolina. Donations may also be sent directly to Caring Services in High Point, NC in Rob's name.
