Mrs. Mary Hunter “Mur” Cranfill, 78, of East Bend, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday Morning, October 7, 2018 at SECU Hospice Center.
Mrs. Cranfill was born on July 10, 1940 to the late Thomas Franklin and Eliza Hutchens Hunter in Yadkin County.
She is survived by: a son Charles Kevin Hill of Midway, NC; a daughter Ginger (Bruce) Sapp of East Bend; a grandson Wesley (Brittany) Sapp of Winston-Salem; great-granddaughter Claire Sapp of Winston-Salem; a brother Thomas Franklin (Bettie) Hunter, Jr of East Bend; two sisters Hazel (Jerry) Scott of Rural Hall and Brenda Fowler of East Bend; four nieces, two nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and a special aunt Ruth Blakely.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cranfill will be held at 4 pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Faith Community Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at Faith Community Baptist Church.
