Mr. Jesse Ray Williams, age 86, of East Bend passed away on Thursday October 12, 2017 at SECU Hospice Care of Yadkinville.

Mr. Williams was born on June 11, 1931 in Yadkin County to the late Ray Hampton Williams and Gertrude Hutchens Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Pattie Sue Haga Wiliams and a son, Gary Dean Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory are a son Duane (Melissa) Williams of Clemmons; a daughter Shannon (Chris) Hicks of East Bend; a brother Vernon (Vicky) Williams of Lewisville; an uncle Paul Hutchens; and loving companion, Laura Simmons.

A funeral service for Mr. Williams will be held on Monday October 16, 2017 at 11am at East Bend Friends Church with the Pastor Billy Wood and Pastor Bobby Choplin officiating.  Burial with full military honors by VFW Post 10346 will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 4pm-6pm at Huff Funeral Home.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Winston Salem Rescue Mission.
