Dorothy Choplin Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy "Dottie" Choplin , age 74, of East Bend passed away on Saturday January 5, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Choplin was born on August 12, 1944 in Yadkin County to the late Buford Hutchens and Anna Mae Hunter Hutchens.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers Arville Ray Hutchens and John Thomas Hutchens and a sister Lois Collins.
Those left to cherish her memory are a son Gary (Kim) Choplin of Manassas, VA; a brother Grady (Brenda Ann) Hutchens of East Bend; two sisters Betty Thompson of East Bend and Frances Jordan of High Point; and five grandchildren Sean (Michaela) Buchanan, Nichole Choplin, Logan Choplin, Nicholas Choplin, and Matthew Choplin.
A funeral for Mrs. Choplin will be held on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 2pm at Huff Funeral Home with the Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Stony Knoll United Methodist Church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
