Today is November 19, 2017 and I'm just finding out that my dear friend Derric passed away. I called his mother to check on him. She called me back to let me know the sad news. Derric would call me every now and then to check on me. I couldn't always call him because his phone was out. The last time I saw him was in June when I visited Winston Salem. Derric was an awesome person and friend. I called him Derric Todd. He use to work for me in Cornelius. He didn't let his challenges get him down. He always was positive about life no matter what. He had plenty friends. He never met a stranger. My heart is so very sad and hurt right now. I will miss you my dear friend. I will see you again so sleep peacefully. You was one of a kind. I love you. Denise

I am really at a loss for words right now..Todd meant the world to me..I remember playing the piano with him and helping him with his math homework and everytime I would see him we would both share our memories of this...Todd was a great person and friend....He will truly be missed.
