Dennis Winfrey Hunter

Mr. Dennis Winfrey Hunter, age 60, of Pfafftown passed away on Saturday February 23, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Hunter was born on May 13, 1958 in Forsyth County to the late Thorman “TD” Hunter and Juanita Winfrey Hunter. He was an active member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church of Pfafftown, NC. Mr. Hunter was employed by Forsyth County in General Services.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hunter was also preceded in death by his in-laws Elmer and Mae Riggs.

He will be sorely missed by his wife of 40 years Cheryl Riggs Hunter; his two sisters Dawn Williams and Dorcas Phillips; brother-in-law Rene (Mary) Riggs; sister-in-law Gayla Riggs and Greg White; two nieces Annette (Bert) Love and Angie (Gerald) Myers; two nephews Daniel and Evan Riggs; and two great nieces Katie and Emily Stroupe.

A funeral service for Mr. Hunter will be held on Thursday February 28, 2019 at 2pm at Huff Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elm Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Huff Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elm Grove United Methodist Church General Fund.
