Mr. William Ratledge, age 85 of Pfafftown passed away peacefully on Thursday November 5th, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Ratledge was born on August 1st, 1930 in Davie County to the late Arthur Cain Ratledge and Flora Davis Ratledge.

He was a retired tractor trailer driver for Food Fair, Inc, and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents Mr. Ratledge was preceded in death by a daughter Beverly Caudle, four sisters, one brother, and a great grandson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 33 years Gail Ratledge of the home; three sons Tim Ratledge and wife Patti of Yadkinville, Patrick Pike and wife Amy of Jacksonville, Florida, and Micheal Pike and wife Donna of Hurt, VA; one brother AC Ratledge of Mocksville; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

A graveside service for Mr. Ratledge will be held on Sunday November 8th, 2015 at 3pm at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Hamrick officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
