Thomas Roby Beane, 88, of East Bend, passed away on December 3, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

He was born on January 28, 1928 to the late Ollie and Nettie Douglas Beane in Yadkin County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Matthews Beane, three brothers: Thelbert, Matthew and Billy Joe and a sister Jessie Davis.

Those left to cherish his memory are a son David Beane and wife Cora of East Bend, two grandchildren Travis Beane and wife Jennah, and Rex Beane and wife Erica, four great-grandchildren Haley, Payton, Tyler, and Lilly.

A graveside service with military honors will be held for Mr. Beane at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Prospect United Methodist Church with Pastor Eddie Tyson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Prospect United Methodist Church’s Cemetery Fund, 3541 Smithtown Rd, East Bend, NC 27018.
