Mrs. Ruby (Darlene) Steelman Hawks, age 54 of East Bend passed away on Monday December 7th, 2015.

She was born on February 2, 1961 in Forsyth County to the late Buford Steelman and Nancy Boggs Steelman.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by a sister Doris Williams and a son-in-law Eric Hicks.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters Shanon Hawks-Hicks and Heather Poe and wife Misty; one step-daughter Jennifer Smith; two brothers Donnie Steelman and Johnny Boggs; five grandchildren Shyanne, NaKoma, Britney, Katlynn, and Marshall; and best friend Paul Bellina.

A memorial service for Mrs. Hawks will be held on Monday December 14th, 2015 at 6pm at Huff Funeral Home.
