Mrs. Ruby Barefoot, 82, of East Bend passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center.

Mrs. Barefoot was born on February 3, 1933 to the late Willie “Bill” and Daisy Hobson Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Barefoot, and a sister Lillian Harris.

Those left to cherish her memory are a brother Buddy Taylor and wife Lois of High Point, a sister Rachel Miller of Yadkinville, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and a special friend Tootsie Phillips.

A funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Huff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ottis Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staffs of Forsyth Medical Center and Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center for all their kindness and care.
