Mr. Melvin Davis, age 87 of East Bend passed away on Monday November 7, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Davis was born on October 26, 1929 in Forsyth County to the late Leo Davis and Mollie Taylor Davis.

Mr. Davis retired from Westinghouse after many years of service.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Davis.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Darlis of the home; son Michael Davis of the home; grandchild Amanda Davis of Winston-Salem; brother Gene Davis of East Bend; sister Doris Stout of Martinsville, VA; sister-in-law Jean Hauser and husband Donald of King; brother-in-law Ronald Hauser of East Bend; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mr. Davis will be at 2 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Crestview Memorial Park, Rural Hall. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM at Huff Funeral Home.
