Pfafftown - June Douglas Stout, 83, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in April of 1933 to Pierson and Carrie Douglas from East Bend. She met the love of her life when she was just 15 years old and they married a year later in March of 1950 and were together for 63 years until his death in 2013. June's true passion was music. She played guitar, dulcimer, as well as keyboard and wrote countless songs and hymns, most of which were copyrighted and professionally demoed. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Douglas, a sister, Anita Lineback, her husband, James Stout, Jr., and a daughter, Terri Stevens (Tim). Surviving are her daughter Carla Sharpe (Mike), grandson, Bret Stevens (Jennifer), and three beautiful great granddaughters, Sydney, Emily, and Caroline. A graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock on Tuesday, January 31st  at Union Hill United Methodist Church cemetery in East Bend with Carl Nelson and Connie Surratt officiating. The family wishes to sincerely thank all those that were involved with her care.
