Mr. Jerry Dean Mabe, 78, of Hamptonville, graduated from this earth to his heavenly home on October 14, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Mr. Mabe was born on August 14, 1937 to the late Olen Dean and Mary Pearl Kennedy Mabe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Mabe.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Shirley Elmore Mabe of the home, two sons: Eddie Mabe and wife Sharon of Swan Creek, and Jerry Mabe and wife Susan of Elkin; two daughters: Patricia Casstevens and husband Craig of Boonville, Lynn Russell and husband Dariel of Jonesville; two brothers: Olen “Buck” Mabe of Washington State, and Robert “Bob” Mabe and wife Glenna of Calabash; two sisters: Judy Berryman and husband Ron of State Road and Byrdie Geckle of Baltimore, MD; eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, Irene Mabe, mother of children, step-sons: Darren Caligan and Todd Caligan; and father-in-law James Elmore.

Funeral services for Mr. Mabe will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Grapevine Baptist Church with Pastors Ronnie Comer and Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
