Mr. James Steven Johnson, age 64 of East Bend passed away on Tuesday June 13, 2017.

Mr. Johnson was born on April 26, 1953 in Surry County to the late James Johnson and Martha Southard Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Deborah Hutchens Johnson, of the home; one son James Douglas Johnson of Yadkinville; four sisters Wanda Baker, Diane (Billy) Salmons, Carol Moore, and Sandra Keaton all of East Bend; and three grandchildren Christina, Allison, and Ann Marie.  

A funeral service for Mr. Johnson will be held on Thursday June 15, 2017 at 3pm at Faith Community Baptist Church with the Pastor Brian Poindexter and Pastor Don Ball officiating.  Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1pm-3pm Thursday at the church.
