Mrs. Jacqueline Reid Long, age 83, of Pfafftown passed away on Saturday November 19, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Long was born on June 11, 1933 in Forsyth County to the late Pallis Reid and Myrtle Beshears Reid.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her beloved husband Archie “Bud” Long and a daughter-in-law Gwyn Dowell Long.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son Del Long of Advance; a daughter Lisa Tilley and husband Doug of Rural Hall; a twin sister Earline Motsinger of Tobaccoville; two sisters Dorothy Hemric of Boone and Peggy Jones of Stanleyville; five grandchildren Zach Long, Celeste Long, Victoria Long, Tiffany Tilley, and Heather Tilley; and one great-grandchild Trey Griffin.

A funeral service for Mrs. Long will be held on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at 2pm at Pleasant Hill UMC, 4691 Vienna-Dozier Rd, Pfafftown, NC 27040, with Zach Long officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
