Mr. Ezra James Davis, age 94 of East Bend went to be with the Lord on September 7th, 2015 at Bermuda Commons, in Advance, NC.

Mr. Davis was born on September 7th, 1921 in Yadkin County to the late Arthur James Davis and Lessie Bell Angel Davis. It was a special birthday, he got to celebrate with his family in heaven.

He was a self-employed contractor, farmer, and proudly served his country in World War II.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by two grandchildren Elliot John Davis and Sarah Briana Waters, and several brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 ½ years, Maude Martin Davis of the home; four sons, Ravon Davis and wife Darla of East Bend, Reginald Davis and fiancé Debbie Mysinger of Dobson, Arvon Davis and wife Cindy of East Bend, and Kim Davis and wife Nancy of East Bend; two daughters Portia Waters and husband Gary of Winston Salem, and Marcia Davis-Arnder and husband Richard of Clemmons; two brothers George Davis and James Davis and wife Jean, both of East Bend; four sisters Juanita Key of East Bend, Freddie Hobson of East Bend, Betty Simmons and husband Dillard of Mt. Airy, and Becky Reavis of Pfafftown; six grandchildren Shaun, Meredith, Cara, Adrienne, Holdin, and Jace; and three great grandchildren Danielle, Hunter, and William; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mr. Davis will be held on Friday September 11th, 2015 at 2pm at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Allen Boggs officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in East Bend Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6pm-8pm at Huff Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
